You are your life’s work after all.
Our Becoming Your Life's Work program is a 14-week course based on Julia Cameron's book, "The Artist's Way," which was originally developed for artists but has been found to benefit people from all walks of life. The program aims to help participants overcome barriers and tap into their creativity, leading to personal growth and transformation.
During the course, participants work through the chapters of "The Artist's Way" using their own copy of the book. The program is flexible, allowing participants to choose between a hard copy or an electronic version. The weekly meetings last for 90 minutes and are conducted via Zoom, except for the final week, which can be conducted in person to celebrate the participants' achievements.
The group size is kept small, with a maximum of four participants, to encourage deeper conversations and active listening. The sessions are facilitated by Lisa White, a Master NLP Practitioner, entrepreneur, and author. Lisa incorporates NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) practices and philosophies into the discussions and activities, providing additional tools for personal growth.
Throughout the program, participants explore various topics from the book, such as recovering a sense of identity, possibility, and connection. The group engages in both group discussions and private practices outlined in the book. Each participant sets a goal to achieve during the 14 weeks and also develops a longer-term goal through a series of well-formed outcomes, ensuring progress towards personal objectives.
The outcomes of the program are diverse and may include revisiting lost ambitions, establishing a creative connection with self-expression, unleashing the inner artist, adding joy and playfulness to life, demystifying belief systems, and overcoming limiting beliefs. Additionally, the program aims to improve mental and physical health, providing a holistic approach to personal development.
By the end of the 14-week program, participants will have developed a set of skills that can be applied to various aspects of their lives, supporting them on their individual journeys. The program offers a safe and supported environment for exploration and self-discovery, fostering an intimate friendship and a deeper understanding of oneself.
You are your life’s work after all.
Becoming Your Life's Work via The Artists Way is our signature 14-week program facilitated by NDIS provider and Master NLP Practitioner Lisa White. Deeper questions are asked and outcomes may include:

All the things I was struggling to achieve, I started to achieve - Jacqui

A deeper connection with myself - Cass.

It saved me from burnout as a professional illustrator! - Joy
Becoming Your Life's Work is a process of developing a healthy relationship with ourselves by becoming the caretaker or advocate that we may not have learnt to be in our youth. This involves learning how to meet our own emotional needs, regulate our emotions, and take care of ourselves in ways that are resourceful and life affirming.
We may learn to identify and challenge negative self-talk, set healthy boundaries, and cultivate a sense of self-compassion and self-worth. This process can involve working with a therapist or counselor, practicing self-care and self-soothing techniques, and engaging in activities that promote emotional healing and self-discovery. Our program is designed to support you and challenge your learning in a safe and inclusive environment, with a few laughs along the way.
Rediscovering ourselves can be a challenging and ongoing process, but it can also be incredibly empowering and transformative. We can break free from habits of self-sabotage and negative self-talk by learning to care for ourselves in healthy and caring ways, and develop a better sense of self-esteem, confidence, and resilience.
